Suggest Name, Slogans and Logo for TB Control Programme in India

Background on Tuberculosis Control in India ...
Background on Tuberculosis Control in India
Central TB Division of Directorate General of Health services under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of Government of India is responsible for Tuberculosis Control in India. Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) is a centrally funded programme implemented by States / UTs through general health system. Goal of the programme is to cut the chain of TB transmission by diagnosing and treating TB cases. Diagnosis and treatment of Tuberculosis is free of cost under RNTCP.
Why a new Name, slogans and Logo for RNTCP?
TB control programme is functional in India since 1962. Globally recommended DOTS strategy was adopted under RNTCP and complete coverage was achieved by year 2006. Though Government of India has achieved Millennium Development Goals for TB control with reduction in incidence rate and 50% decline in prevalence and mortality rate due to TB since 1990, India bears the highest burden of TB in the world. TB continues to be major public health problem in the country.
Recently, the programme has revised its technical and operational guidelines and introduced many newer strategies and intensified efforts for TB control in the country. The RNTCP is preparing a National Strategic Plan for TB control in the country. Branding of the programme will give thumping emphasis to the intensified efforts of the Government for TB control. It would be appropriate to change the name, slogans and logo for RNTCP now.
A name, slogans and logo can be thought of as a visual shortcut that communicates what the brand stands for.
Central TB Division invites proposals from the public to create a brand of ‘Revised National TB Control Programme’ (Name and Logo)
The entry selected would carry a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 to the winner. Consolation prizes of Rs. 5,000 would be provided to three participants.
