Suggesting an innovative Name for the proposed scheme ‘Soil Health Cards for All Farmers’

The Government has announced a scheme to give Soil Health Card to every farmer in the country. There has been growing concern about imbalance in the use of different types of fertilizers (comprising varying ratios of nutrients) resulting in deterioration of the soil. Soil Health Cards will be given to every farmer over a period of 3 years based on soil testing of primary, secondary and micronutrients. Soil Health Cards will disseminate knowledge among farmers in adopting recommended Integrated Nutrient Management practices and using appropriate dose of fertilizers to maximize productivity.
The Department of Agriculture and Cooperation seeks entries for proposing an innovative name for an upcoming scheme ‘Soil Health Cards for All Farmers’ of the Department.
Last Date of Submission is 15th December, 2014.
The winning entries will be awarded as under:
• First Prize- Rs. 25,000/-
• Second Prize- Rs. 15,000/-
