Vidyanjali - (School Volunteer Programme) is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy to enhance community and private sector involvement in Government run elementary schools across the country under the overall aegis of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
This programme has been envisaged to bring together people willing to volunteer their services at schools which really need them. The volunteers will act as mentors, confidantes and communicators with children.
In consonance with this objective, MyGov in collaboration with Ministry of Human Resource Development has developed a mobile application for schools and other educational institutions to engage interested citizens in volunteering for such on-ground engagements.
The application will enable interested volunteers to connect with government educational institutions including schools to mentor students. This mobile application would act as a nexus between the volunteers and government bodies under a Volunteer Management Program. Through this mobile application, mentors can interact with institutions directly and can contribute in the institution’s activity with relevant knowledge and skill set.
The application is an interactive mobile platform which facilitates communication between the two stakeholders helping institutions to post their academic and non-academic requirements seeking suitable volunteers for the specified role. The prospective volunteers, users of the application, would be able to show their interest based on the available volunteering opportunities viewing the list ordered basis fetched user location. The application would boast of a separate dashboard for institutions and volunteers both, which would be inclusive of a map enabling feature of locating both the institution and the volunteer. The exact locations of volunteers and institutions would be view-able through pin markers on the map.
The volunteer application would allow two-way search from the end of both the stakeholders. A volunteer would be able to seek activities and show his/her interest in the listed activities. Similarly, an institution would be able to search for volunteers who are using the app meeting their requirement, request for a volunteer, review a volunteer profile, and schedule a meeting for further action and appointment.
Hence, the application would help connect keen volunteers with educational institutions for being able to associate and work with the institution on need basis plugging in the vacant spaces. This would not only bring satisfaction to the volunteers but also make the students’ experience seamless. An application to this effect would serve as a successful and innovative alternative to resolve temporary issues of missing or incompetent human resource faced by educational institutions.

Creativity is everything. it can enhance competency and ability to think differently, I would like to teach and guide students to have creative outlook towards education and understanding their ability to perform things in a better and more efficient way. Creative learning of different subjects, crafts, drawing and socially useful productive work will make students become more approachable and outgoing which is most needed for their future interactions when they seek out for jobs.
how scared this thing is that teachers now got to know ki student dhang se nahi padh paa rha hainn and vo bhi 6th standard main kya sach main and this problem is not only in governmant but also in privateee . so , mr. narendra modi sir if u really have to work on thiss then apko baht deep jana padegaa kyunki bahut si bataeinn aise hi jo apkoo pata hi nahi hainnnn.
GOVERNMENT SERVANT STUDENTS SHOULD BE READ GOVERNMENT SCHOOL. GOVT SCHOOL SHOULD BE OUR NATION. PRIVATE SCHOOL NOT ALLOWED.
I undertake to provide my group services in the field of interactive value based teaching in the area of IMT Manesar in Gurgaon, Haryana. I can contribute my efforts, time and money in this noble initiative to any capacity provided i have guidance of some of my community friends, brothers and sisters.
Government should insist that all the "Top Government official Children's" to study in Government schools till 12th standard, they are getting the common man tax as their salary and positioning the Government post but don't want their children's to study in Government schools.
if they made the compulsory order, then automatically all the government funded schools officials will work properly and more focus on the education will be developed among the peoples.
Before we start this..We should have the fees control system across pan India. A+grade school,A,b,c Grade schools.. The fees slab should be PAN India. Then only the Vidyanjali Will success. Why because we are hiring volunteer.. But paying volunteer we need the fixation of pay. The same way school fees also to be rationlised PAN India manner.
Any type of medium or sterm the fees to be fixed.. then only vidyanjali programme got success...
Great initiative!!! This will ignite the social service part of every human. There is a need to design a system where one can contribute from remote location. This can be done by providing volunteer opportunity to develop effective teaching skill for developing kids of different age. As I am quite interested, but can't able to participate because of my working hours. But willing to contribute for developing effective teaching techniques. Hope my suggestion will help in bringing change in society
I believe in 1 education standard across India.
Would request the government to make education free for all till 12th std and ensure that this will not be a means to Lobby marketing.
This will ensure rich and poor studying in the same school and on the long run, may lead to remove the reservation in the country as well.
Even though, this looks like an impossible task, request the government to start with such an initiative soon. I wouldn't expect any other Govt to start any such initiatives.
it can only be done if its made a regular part of high school education/college education.
Giving every individual a choice of interest(options) & then a month of assigned tasks to fulfill.
This will help both ways. The volunteer realises the problems & harships he didnt have to face & develops a positive attitude also the kids who gets helped by him looks upto him as a model & develops a habit of helping others.
Since,I have been working with underprivileged kids (both at slums & govt. schools) helping with infrastructure & consumable requirements.. since last 1 year in Kolkata.

Now,talking about the programme, there are plenty of glitches..
1.regular classes can only get the result needed
2.incomplete topics left cant be matched up.
3.different people have diff ways of teaching & preaching
4.volunteers have plenty of availability issues.
In order to make it work..
