The Jhansi Municipal Corporation is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with 98 other cities to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.
In this context, the Jhansi Municipal Corporation is in the process of preparing the Smart City Proposal. Jhansi Municipal Corporation seeks valuable suggestions of the citizens to formulate the vision for the Smart City Jhansi.
A strategic vision shapes a preferred future for a city. A successful vision has economic, spatial, social and environmental dimensions that reflect a city’s unique physical and cultural traits; it provides direction for the activities of the Corporation, citizens and stakeholders; and ensures that citizens, city agencies, and stakeholders are working towards those shared sub-goals. The vision statement should inspire our city’s residents and can even become the branding for our smart city.
“My Jhansi’s Future” – A vision Competition
• The question you need to answer is “What is your vision for Jhansi smart city”?
• Maximum word limit – 50 words.
The Vision Statement should attend to the above mentioned parameters addressing your Vision for Jhansi as a Smart City? (Maximum 50 words)
Terms and Conditions
1. A statement outlining the vision for what we would want Jhansi to be as a smart city. It should be a positive statement.
2. The vision should be unique and futuristic based on inherent elements of the city.
3. The vision statement should not exceed 50 words.
4. The vision should clearly portray the elements in context of Jhansi city only.
5. This competition is open for all
The best 3 Vision Statements would be declared as winners:
1. First prize - Rs. 11,000
2. Second prize - Rs. 5100
3. Third prize - Rs. 2100
All the Participate will receive Participation Certificate.
The last date to submit your entries is 25th November, 2015.

2. The winner will be chosen on the basis of simplicity of thought, realism in ideas, and originality in content.
