Corporation of Chennai is preparing a proposal towards Smart City Challenge which would include city wide smart urban solutions as well as identification of areas within the city ...
Concentrate on western and northern corridors of the city with SEZ, manufacturing sectors, IT etc.. Without concentrating only on southern corridor(OMR n GST). So, that chennais entire growth output may go higher... Provide good means of transportation services to each corner of the city in international standard and Plant more tree saplings, So that chennai may become more green
I have added my suggestions in the attached pdf document. Please check it out! -From Sai Prahlad K Chennai-91
Dear Sir,
Siruseri is the most preffered area for Smart city development due to the presence of broad roads,IT Companies,Highrise buildings,Edutional instuations,Hospitals,Lakes & Forest and population mix of south/north/east and west. Moreover approx one Lakh new appartments was already constructed in siruseri surroundings.Today the entire world recognises " Siruseri due to IT companies presence. This location is ready for take off stage and will show value for the money spent for smart city.
Perambur should be developed by smart city mission
Ideal location should accomadate futuristic tech to upgrade and have long term expansion goal, which should be outskirt of city. If it is inside should reduce & address existing painful problem. So either T.Nagar as per CoC choice or MM Nagar as per natural choice
Sholinganallur is the preferred area for smart city project as this is close to IT corridor, colleges and schools. Being in development phase compared with other localities, there is huge opportunity to implement all aspects of smart city in a planned way.
Sholingnallur is a self sustaining area with excellent breeze climate. Quite accomodative to any type of development
Sholinganallur should be developed at the priority go.
It would be great if Sholinganallur is developed.
Ward-volunteers may be asked to report through a 24x7 dedicated portal to maintain transparency the un-authorised constructions , commercial-establishments polluting environment (noisy, smoky etc.,) vehicles permanently using roads as their parking area, persons who pollute the environment in that ward, enery-theft, low-lying area where water is stagnating and penal action should follow by the authorities concerned. The portal has to show action taken by the authorities.
