The Government of India has launched an approach named “Vanbandhu KalyanYojana (VKY)” with a view to translate the available resources into overall development of tribal population of the country with an outcome-based orientation. Funds for tribal development under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) are sourced from State Plans, TSP components of schemes / programmes administered by Central Ministries/ Departments, Special Area Programmes such as Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan (SCA to TSP) and Grant under Article 275 (1) of the Constitution, and Institutional Finances. The VKY is broadly intended to be a strategic process which envisages to ensure that all the intended benefits of goods and services under various programmes/schemes of Central as well as State Governments actually reach them by convergence of resources through appropriate institutional mechanism.

Views/comments/suggestions are invited from all sections of the society for effective implementation of Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana.

As most of the tribal population depends upon agriculture and traditional trades they should be empowered with latest technologies and easy access to market. The e-commerce business also can help them in going global for selling their handlooms and handicrafts. Today people loves organic food and hand made articles. Government should facilitate them in skill development and basic education. Jai Hind.

Create an economy around collecting of forest wealth and ensure the job is well paid, things like lakh used in lacquer, leaves and vessels made of it, animal product, organic farming . This will create a situation where legal collections are rewarded and illegal collections have no market to sell into. Create delivery mechanism which can make it affordable in urban area hence sustaining the demand. Like milk why can I not get leaf made plates and vessels in my city.

suggestions--(a) dont impose any uniform model decided by english speaking self-certified domain experts sitting in NITI AAYOG, on extremely diverse tribal population, let the local tribal population decide what is needed for them for their happiness, (b) implement VKY by direct financial support to atleast 100 tribal districts, but keep state govt in loop, (c) use century old knowledge traditions and heritage in bettering their lives and dont impose any model decided by urban dwellers.

good step but implementation of these should be done with higher determination and good approach.Projects within the blocks should be given to good hands. In our district not a single
govt. project or plan work successfully, people get the tender &don't complete it and engineers also never comes to check. sichai kuan k kam me thoda dig karke upper se paani dalte hain aur photo lekar engg. ko dikhate hain ...& the work is done ????

The best way of Promotion of Information and Communication Technology systems in school and adult education is to allot all the possible allocable opportunities of learning and promoting to the privileged reservation categories and corrupt, selfish persons, like chaiwalas who fulfill their dreams "around the world" at the cost of nation's money, shot slogans of good doing to the poor.

In order that Vanbandhu truly becomes friend of the forest, people staying in the forest villages of India must get real incentives. Vanbandhu scheme must take their real life requirements into account such as food, clothing, education of their kids, medical facilities and infrastructure development of the village. Forest villages established during British period are till date devoid of these basic facilities. People here are becoming Van dushman instead of Van Bandhu.

I recently listen "sargunja" gram at gujarat-rajsthan border from on great speech of Shree Rajivbhai Dixit held at PUNE university. It's available on YouTube.com with title "brain drain in India". I heard about steel making by people at that gram. Why can we not give resource to produce it by people at home by their traditional family knowledge?? This is one example. Plz listen video to support people by us and as well, by goverment.
