Under the eKranti- Electronic delivery of services, National Centre for e-Governance Standards and Technology has been set up by STQC, Standardization, Testing and Quality ...

Under the eKranti- Electronic delivery of services, National Centre for e-Governance Standards and Technology has been set up by STQC, Standardization, Testing and Quality Certification as a Centre for formulation of standards under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Under this initiative, eGovernance service Maturity model has been formulated.

Maturity models are used to assess as-is situations (to diagnose and eliminate deficient capabilities), to guide improvement initiatives (to map the way for improvement) and to control progress. The development in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has made it possible for citizens to interact with the government remotely without physically visiting any government office in most of the cases and avail the e-Governance services in a convenient manner. In the context of Electronic Service Delivery – “e-Governance is about the making use of ICT in systems of governance for a wider participation and a deeper involvement of citizens, institutions, civil society groups and the private sector in the decision making process of governance.”

Over the years, the central and state governments have adopted various measures to improve the quality of services delivered to the citizens and have tried to reach different sections of the society to improve the social and economic status of the masses.
This Maturity Model caters to the requirements of e-Governance services strictly in the Indian context. The fundamental goal is to keep the criteria as objective as possible and which is not entirely based on the subjective assessment. An authentic mechanism for ensuring a rational and objective assessment of these services has been dealt with in this model. The model proposes to conduct two kinds of assessments one by the Government Ministry/Department and other by the beneficiary.

The draft specifications are now put up for public consultation till 17th March, 2017.

PM sir, just as in Hopcoms, the payment are made online to farmers, request you to instruct the CSB (Central Sericulture Board) to replicate the same in Silk Cocoon Markets as well. This will end 4 to 5 hors of farmers waiting for their payment and also end the corruption nexus between reeler and the market officials! After waiting the previous night, it is unfair for the farmer to be treated with no respect! Farmers travel from far, often going hungry, until they get payment. Pls help!

For our great P.M. my idea is that we should give all the Central, State Government, Districts,Tehsil and Municipalities/ Nagarpalika an Unique Identification Number for their each work in every field. The Particular area will be covered with an UID where all expenditure and work done by various agencies will be recorded in it and that will be further linked with Village to Tehsil to District to State to Centre. No work will be assigned without UID number. This will abolish Corruption completely.

Dear Sir,
I am resident of uttar pradesh. There are so many common service centres are working at tehsil level. We can apply for so many services online like caste certificates, income certificates, resident certificate but, the person not get theses certificates until they visit the tehsil & meet the lekhpal. So, in todays scenario online service should be such that the person should be faceless once he applied he will get it online in a specific period of time.

Recently my parents traveled by Rajdhani. At the end of the journey, compulsory tips of Rs 200/-(100/- each) was collected by the caterers.

In case of non Rajdhani trains, if mobile payment could be made compulsory along with published menu card, then not only railways would earn more, but also curtail corruption. This will bring more money into railways and in due course can reduce train fare.

Our PM being a good Shikshak will definitely change corrupt mentality of many Indians & governance.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Just like radio app on our mobile why we can't get assess to bank and gov. Apps free of cost? The cost involved will be paid by advertisiement on these apps.

A new AADHAR basesed social networking app for indian can join all youths and can give a big boost to digitalisation.

A subsidised smartphone will help in achiving target of digital , cashless India in shortest time.
