Innovative ideas on circular economy in E-waste

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for society. With the introduction of innovative features and up-gradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing to the generation of electronic waste significantly.

Replacing the linear systems with circular in electrical and electronic equipment intends to maximize value at each life-cycle stage by reusing, repairing, recovering remanufacturing, regenerating products and material.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their innovative ideas on how circular economy practices can help in sustainable and efficient E-waste Management.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

Some of the significant barriers to moving in the direction of a circular economy are waste disposal options that are cheaper than recycling (such as waste incineration), lower prices for primary raw materials and an insufficient level of demand so far for recycled products.

From r-wate precious metals like copper, zinc, selenium, nickel, aluminium and palladium etc., Could be extracted and Reuse them wisely. For making e-car around 80 kg of copper is essential to make them.In2040 there will be vast demand in copper.
While segregating the waste care must be taken. The waste does not seep into soil, water and air.Person to handling the e-waste also take precautions.

E-waste could be managed by opening e-waste collection in our school, colleges, office or in society .If you don't want to use any e-device then you can give the device to that collection centre and anyone really needly person want that device then they have to take from that collection center. Because in this society student need some e-device for study.
And any device is useless for you then you repair it and give another needy person.

E-waste could be managed through the free automatic clean-up applications in all the gadgets, whether it may be mobiles, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
It has to be set by default (becomes easy for all age groups) or mandatory from time to time so that a regular practice can be inculcated gradually.
This will help and promote a sort of swatchta abhiyan for e-waste

Also need to promote the start up of e waste management. Also encourage them to innovate new ideas to reduce the e waste from environment. Electronic equipment are durable. The parts use in electronic devices are too costly but shelf life is more and Durable. instead of throwing the e waste we can recover the electronic part from equipment, after recovering this part we can Use this part in new equipment or device, due to this cost of production of new equipment will automatically decrease by certain amount, and easy to buy to all person in country poor to rich .. For collect e waste, recover parts from device, reuse this part in new equipment This will Create Employment opportunities to Our Young generation. Also best opportunity to young youth to take part in the sector.
