Smart City Dehradun
Start Date :
Oct 14, 2015
Last Date :
Dec 01, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Dehradun, the interim capital of Uttarakhand, Words fails to describe Uttarakhand. Some call it 'heaven on earth' while others call it the abode of Gods'. However one thing is for ...
My suggestions
1. Don't play with the old city...retain it's charm..Dont cut trees..
2. Shift govt offices, Vidhan shabha to outer places.
3. Made the entry to to the city broader and incumberance free..bottle necks at Daat Kali and Mokhampur/Jogiwala area need immediate attention.
4.Bring the outer areas ...like upto Kuwan wala in Nagar nigam to regulate the construction, improve sanitation etc
5. Make all electric lines underground...
6. Underpass for padestrian at crossings.
Sir, Dehradun has cosmopolitan character. Institutions, schools, colleges, special- research facilities have stimulated intellectual growth of city. Idea of Dehradun as smart city contrasts with its traditional natural disposition. While old may love the natural way young are inclined and likely favor smart oeuvre of life. Change to smart city is likely to see an easy transition and city emerge as in its old glory the piece de resistance among smart cities. Enumerated attachment.’ Regards
Companies, groups taking government tenders must be made accountable for their work (like flyover tenders) so that common man do not suffer.
Making WIFI free zone is a good step. Government must expand this project to other parts of the city too...
Public transportation like mono rail must be taken in note as this would help Dehradun to get free from thousands of Vikrams, causing pollution..
Small Dustbins must be there regular points so that people do not throw waste on the road.
Foothpath should be there....# smart city
At every 1 km there should be toilets for both men and women separately.
City to be planned for a major surge in population. Road widening, public sanitation, water and electricity distribution need a real time feedback on breakdowns or bottlenecks. Public helpline in this regard should be popularized
Vikrams and city buses should be replaced by non-polluting modes of transport. Mono rail or travel pods is one solution. Sensors/CCTV coverage at various points for assessing speeding and rashly driving vehicles.
