Dindigul City is located in the central part of Tamil Nadu famous for its traditional lock manufacturing industry. The City has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 smart cities in India. The City covers an area of 14.01 sq.km and divided into 48 wards with the population of 2,07,225. Dindigul Municipal Corporation is preparing the Smart City Proposal that will provide smart solutions to the urban infrastructure issues. In order to prepare the Smart City Proposal, the citizens of Dindigul City and other citizens are requested to post their views & opinion, how the services being provided by Dindigul Corporation pertaining to city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, sanitation, Solid Waste Management, Storm Water Drainage, Housing, amenities related to recreational activities and Non-Motorized Transport, Security etc. It is essential to frame the Vision of Dindigul City and to get shortlisted in the Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

Let’s Join together in making Dindigul as a Smart City.

6.Bus stops should have seperate cutspace from the main road to avoid traffic conjestion.7.increase more signages and signals.8.agricultural lands not to be used for realestate purposes.9.encourage farmers to continue with their agricultural activities n increase the local productions to reduce the commodities cost.10.need more focus to develop small scale industries.11.common parking areas with multi level parking has to be implemented in all commercial areas n this should be pay n use system.

1.clean Dindigul(swatch Dindigul) should be practised in nook and corner of the city by deploying more staffs(can engage all streetside/templeside beggers in this job so that they will do work and earn).2.plant more trees.3.Flyovers have to be constructed in all road junctions to avoid traffic.4.waste management has to be done frequently and garbage bins has to be implemented for every 30 mtrs.5.Discipline has to be maintained in all governmental processess.

infrastructure should be developed. Bypass road should be created in Madurai road to Natham road, Natham road to trichy road. well connected new busstand for govt. and omni buses.

(H) Rain Water harvesting should be implemented vigorously in all houses in Dindigul Town. Most of the houses have this scheme as namesake. This salient features of this scheme should be explained in detail to the residents and make them to use it.

1. Tall building should be installed with solar boards
2. E-governance for all government interaction for corruption free management
3. Quick Sewage and waste clean system with fine for mis-using
4. People should be educated of different types of wastes and same has to be adopted
5. Review and quicker implementation of better education system
6. Wider and planned roads in new suburbs and streets
7. Clean government offices, hospitals and other common areas
8. No political involvement
