A Seperate zone should be created with 24 hours water facility, so that investers will start companies in Dindigul. If possible need a domestic airport! There were several companies in 1980s where all the companies moved to coimbatore and Tirupur. Dindigul should become a smart city only all water facility and infrastructure is improved.

Incentives should be given for battery operated vehicles so that use of petrol/diesel vehicles is reduced. the environment gets less polluted. Also use of public transport, car pooling to be encouraged to reduce traffic and pollution. Smart maps should be installed at all traffic signals along with cameras to show live traffic status in Dindigul so that people can take the route with less traffic, again saving time,petrol/diesel and environment gets less polluted.

The core basic issues needs to be addressed like processing of solid waste generated , water supply etc , its better to go for ward wise implementation show quick success of certain projects to citizens and then try to replicate it . For eg : EE streetlighting could be first tried on an ESCO model in one major street or wARD AND THEN REPLICATED , SIMILARLY DECENTRALISED WASTE MANAGEMENT ETC,

Two point for govt..
1. Kuppai/garbage... People still dump garbage into any hole, gutter, drainage, sewer line...
So..
Make garbage bins which can be burried and will have opening at road level...
.
2. Water stagnation..
Make RWH pits below each road..
This will save ground water.
Retain water levels in wells, bores.
Increase water availability in region.
Decrease choking sewerage lines or storm water drains..
Decrease cooum canal dependency to flush water..
Decrease tunnel costs

For example, we should be able to walk barefoot without need to buy slippers.
Get fruits, vegetables, needs from green zones for very little effort from each of us.
Work or Recreation or Art or Performances - should become a favorite time pass of creativity from each individual.

This I call Smart!

All taken care with availability in sustainable amounts in each suburb for all in the suburb.
Just plan for calamities by reducing consumption while also increasing greenbelt productivity steadily.
Yes, the need for commercial activities should become bare minimum in an ideal smart city.

For example, we should be able to walk barefoot

Hoppers, a new kind of safe hygeinic nonpolluting dronelike vehicles will fly people wanting to travel across several zones . But this requirement will be rare as each suburb of 3 zones will almost be identical to other suburbs. Nothing so exciting in other suburbs will need to exist.

All will have enough, somuchso that even having a handful of money is too much to have. I mean, there will not be any need for money. Infact nothing to spend on. All taken care
