Varanasi has often been termed as the cradle of India’s culture. It is a city of scholars, writers, poets and thinkers. The Ganga flows through Varanasi but sadly even here the Ganga’s condition has become pitiable. This task seeks your ideas on a comprehensive plan to clean the Ganga in Varanasi and at the same time a re-development plan for the Ghats of the city.
If possible keep a place to walk, every single thing has started just over the ghat, I know this is just impossible demand but at least 10-20ft walkaway should be there on the ghat and then keep aarati place for 1000 pujaris. Just imagine when 1000 pujaris will do this aarati in the night it will be a scene of the planet, create "diya" based aarati work such that people from all over the world can come and from the boat on the river they can see and enjoy the most brilliant work of the city.
In Japan, the burning ghat is organized by a small company and they create just a heaven like nice place where high-tec facility is there to burn a dead body. Why not create one such burning ghat where fire never extinguished for over 3000 years. "burning ghat" would be the most beautiful place and hindus from all over the world can make a will to come to Varanasi to get burnt after death. This will make Varanasi the center of the planet. Use Japanese tech for this and beautiful stone work make
Hon'able Prime Minister of India, Dear Sir,
1. Insure Ghats 2. Enternace fee 3. Security arrangements, and other various ways enclosed herewith for your reference. Yours Faithfully, Yogesh
Please refer to attached document on challenges and some steps that can be taken for better Ghat Maintenance The steps mentioned include 1) Establishment of Ghat Maintenance Committee 2) Establishment of Ganga Mitra Framework 3) Setting up Municipal Control Center 4) Setting up Organic fertilizer plant
1. Small ponds and where possible canals to be created near the river front for immersion such as of idols flowers etc. These to be trapped outside the river and not to be allowed to enter the river.
2. It should be made mandatory to make idols for various festivals using clay and biodegradable natural colours/materials. Availability of such materials to artisans should be ensured for effective implementation.
1. All along Varanasi Old Ghats should be renovated with quality marbles and granites and new Ghats should be developed to decongest the present Ghats.
2. We need to construct shower enclosures near the Ghats and make it mandatory to take shower first before taking dip in the river. This will help in controlling pollution by reducing body pollutants discharged in the river.

Kyoto temples in japan are great example for developing ghats in varanasi
Step 2. Make a Mobile application to Redeveloping Ghats based on the Google map Pic. The Ghats are clearly marked.Rope in ASI to Renovate, Construct and Re-Capture Sites being encroached upon. New laws to be brought in. bring in Environmentalist as how to stop from disposing City Sewage in Ganga. No big task. Cleaning Ganga is not PM dream. Its Indian dream. Make IT as a tool to clean Ganga and its Ghat. Use PWD,PHE and other Civic bodies. STEP 3 TOMMROW
I am ready to sponsor boards that read "I shall NOT throw plastic into Ganga Maa". Because thin plastic covers are the big menace that our pilgrims unwittingly throw into the river. Others may follow thoughout the length and breadth of Ganga. Whom should I contact for permission etc.?
