This task gives you the freedom to come out with your own draft roadmap on how various stakeholders can come together and work towards cleaning the Ganga. This document must be rich in research and must contain effective solutions and a futuristic outlook. The key lies in working together and embracing PPP model.
In order to bring all stakeholders together in the massive effort to clean River Ganga and restore its pristine glory, the points presented in enclosed PDF file are aimed at crystalizing the thoughts for developing various schemes.
1. Students must together with a roadmap with technical ways as how can we clean Ganga. 2. All govt representatives must organize periodic meets for all govt officers & representatives as what can be done to protect & conserve the River. 3. Students & Experts must together organize programs & meetings worldwide & organize webinars to collect ideas from people to clean, preserve & conserve Ganga. 4. Technical plans can bebuilt up together by students, industrialist, saints & experts to cleanGanga
Occurrence of devastating extreme rainfall / cloud burst events (about 310 mm rainfall on 16th June, 2013 in Kedarnath) in Uttarakhand, recently in Jammu & Kashmir over 400 mm rain from 4th to 7th September 2014 as well as the crippling flood havoc in Assam / Arunachal Pradesh in August 2014 (massive flooding by Subansiri and Jiadhol rivers) has brought to fore our pitiably poor preparedness for such disasters, and also the great urgency to evolve mitigating strategy for Himalayan river systems
the best solution would be to stop sewage disposals in this holy river . if we believe the locals, the river ganga can clean itself during rainy season. so just stop sewage , industrial waste , dead body etc disposal in the river
Based on research about cleansing of a river by Malaysian government, have suggested the involvement of stakeholders in our country along with time wise action plan for next 5 years.
We a group from West Bengal studied the Ganga from Maharajpur (Jharkhand) to Behrampore (WB) by 14 peoples in 1995 and again in 1996 by 18 peoples from Behrampore (WB) to Kolkata by 2 rafts prepared by ourselves total 490 kms in 13 days. Then after we did in West bengal various programmes at various Libraries,Schools,Museums to aware people on effect of pollution Ganga with an aim how we can do create awareness among the citizens. http://sushantade.blogspot.in/2012/12/a-civil-society-of-india
Cleaning of Maa Ganga should be started from Gangotri
Keep it phase wise
First three Km. first ... complete the phase no drainage, no waste and then move next three Km. This way come from origin to down the line.
Take major steps to stop factory and city waste coming into Ganga Ji .
" Participatory Rural Appraisal" is best way in decreasing unnecessary PIL's and controversies in the process.. PRA will helps stakeholders to define their problem and also helps Govt in finding solution easily as awareness can be easily created among stakeholders..
This phenomenon can also be stop as the soil in the desert region will be wet and won't able to rise stoping the phenomena of dust storm which puts cities in north idea under heavy amount of dust and also make medical and other effects for everyone.
Now one more out of the box idea,We all know that this drainage has water content in it. There is region big region desert region in rajasthan part of idea..Directing this drainage system towards that Desert area not only make the soil wet but after certain years it will surely make the underground water level to go high this thing has one more advantage to it. In northen india we have duststorm also known as "aandhi" this is nothing but loose soil coming from these deserted part of india.
